A family-run pool service business was running on three disconnected systems just to send one bill. Here's what replaced them.
Every job meant handwriting notes in the field, re-entering them into a photo-documentation app, then re-entering them again into QuickBooks to bill the client — for a business running on a single owner and a small crew of contractors.
A separate, quieter problem was costing real money: QuickBooks' credit card surcharge compounded on itself with no clean fix, and there was no way to let clients see their own service history without handing over the full client list to contractors first.
What we built: one application covering field job capture with role-restricted access, owner and manager billing with a correctly calculated surcharge, and a client portal — replacing two paid subscriptions with one system of record.

An MBA sits alongside a hands-on habit of writing code personally, sharpened recently by building production applications end-to-end with modern AI-assisted development tools.
